Anduril is enhancing its maritime technology portfolio with the launch of Seabed Sentry—an AI-powered, mobile network of undersea sensor nodes designed for continuous monitoring and real-time communication. This advanced system uses artificial intelligence to deliver accurate, autonomous situational awareness on the ocean floor, catering to both commercial and defense applications.
While surface and aerial systems benefit from clear visibility and stable communication links, the underwater domain remains largely inaccessible and disconnected, limiting current autonomous subsea technologies. Seabed Sentry addresses this challenge by bridging gaps in connectivity and situational awareness, enabling reliable, real-time data exchange without the high costs associated with traditional systems. With long-term endurance (ranging from months to years), a depth capability of over 500 meters, over 0.5 cubic meters of payload capacity, and a modular, reusable design, Seabed Sentry sets a new standard in underwater surveillance.
In contrast to conventional fixed seabed systems that are costly to install and maintain, Seabed Sentry features a flexible, cable-free architecture. Its deep-sea nodes are capable of detecting, processing, and transmitting critical subsea data at the edge. Powered by Anduril’s Lattice AI software and deployable via autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), the system can form an adaptable defense grid to protect vital maritime zones and infrastructure.
It supports multiple payload types and features an open architecture, allowing for seamless integration of both in-house and third-party sensors tailored to missions such as seabed mapping, maritime activity monitoring, port security, infrastructure protection, anti-submarine, and surface warfare. Seabed Sentry also incorporates Ultra Maritime’s Sea Spear technology to enable long-range sensing in remote underwater environments.
Seabed Sentry operates on Anduril’s Lattice software platform and is seamlessly integrated with the company’s Dive series of large and extra-large autonomous submarines. This combination forms an advanced, intelligent maritime network that enables operators to rapidly detect, assess, and respond across the underwater battlespace—at a fraction of the cost compared to traditional systems.
To support increasing demand, Anduril has made major investments in multiple production facilities, which are preparing to manufacture Seabed Sentry at scale. The system is designed for repeated use: after deployment, it can be retrieved, cleaned, recharged, and redeployed—helping to reduce long-term operational expenses and minimize supply chain delays.
With a focus on intelligent, scalable, and cost-effective autonomous solutions, Anduril is redefining maritime superiority. As global competition in undersea domains grows, dominance of the seafloor—and the space above it—requires next-generation systems. Seabed Sentry, alongside Anduril’s broader portfolio of maritime technologies, offers a software-driven, end-to-end solution for both defense and commercial missions.
