Peking University researchers led by Cui Guang and Liu Zhongfan have developed a flexible aircraft coating just 0.1mm thick that withstands temperatures up to 1,000 degrees Celsius while absorbing radar waves. Published in Advanced Materials, the breakthrough graphene-based metasurface reduces radar reflection to -42 decibels and maintains performance under 200 metres per second airflow with less than 1 percent loss, potentially revolutionizing stealth fighter technology.
