ULA's Atlas 5 rocket deployed the next 27 advanced broadband satellites into space.

The 27 Project Kuiper satellites were deployed at an altitude of 280 miles above Earth.

Control will shift over to the Project Kuiper team at their 24/7 mission operations center in Redmond, Washington.

The separation sequence began about 20 minutes after liftoff, concluding about 15 minutes later.

Amazon is preparing to double the size of its Project Kuiper constellation to over 200 satellites this year with three more launches.

The step will support broadband services in the United States and four other countries.
