This is a hybrid heavy-cargo unmanned aircraft. Developed by LODD Autonomous, the aircraft is UAE's first domestically designed unmanned aircraft.

Called Hili, the aircraft is capable of carrying up to 250 kg of cargo and flying distances of around 700 km.

Equipped with hybrid-propulsion, Hili is a type of Vertical Take-off and Landing aircraft.

The aircraft is claimed to be suitable for long-range autonomous logistics missions.

Its first flight took place at its test facility in Al Ain. The successful test flight marks a major step toward next-generation autonomous cargo transport and strengthens the UAE’s leadership in future aviation technologies.

The aircraft’s development emphasizes safety, modular engineering, and sustainable operation through its hybrid electric–combustion power system.

This milestone positions the UAE as a growing force in advanced air mobility, showcasing its ability to create high-tech aviation systems locally rather than relying on imports.

LODD has also signed strategic partnerships with Etihad Cargo, Skyports Drone Services, and ST Engineering to accelerate adoption and global integration of the technology.
