Daytime Water Plaza Show: “Harmony of Air and Water” – GUINNESS WORLD RECORD Holder for the “World’s Largest Interactive Fountain.”

The performance titled “A Synchronization of Air and Water” will take place at the Water Plaza during Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as "the Expo"). On Monday, April 7, 2025, the feature was officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the “Largest interactive fountain feature.” A certification ceremony was also held on the same day at the Water Plaza, where an official adjudicator from Guinness World Records presented the certificate.

“A Synchronization of Air and Water” is a daytime interactive experience that complements the nighttime spectacle “Under the Midnight Rainbow,” held at the Water Plaza. This participatory attraction invites guests to immerse themselves in the show’s magical world during daylight hours. Around 300 fountains respond dynamically to visitors' gestures and hand movements, offering a captivating experience where participants appear to control the water displays. As the fountains rise and form unique patterns based on your movements, it creates a wondrous sensation—almost like performing magic.

This Guinness World Records certification acknowledges that “A Synchronization of Air and Water” features the largest installation area of any interactive fountain system that the general public can control.

(1) Definition – Interactive Fountain Feature: A decorative, man-made fountain system that allows spectators to remotely influence and alter its visual effects.

(2) This daytime fountain show will run for about five minutes each hour, between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM throughout the duration of the Expo.

(3) This event will take place spontaneously on the day, without any advance announcement.
