A stealth warship that offers combat capabilities for air, surface, and anti-submarine warfare has been inducted into the Indian Navy.
Named INS Udaygiri, the vessel is an indigenously designed Project 17 Alpha (P-17A) stealth frigate of the Indian Navy.
The warship is a modern multi-role frigate equipped with advanced sensors.
The vessel is armed with BrahMos supersonic missiles, and a medium-range surface-to-air missile (MR-SAM) systems.
The warship is built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) and designed by the Indian Navy's Warship Design Bureau (WDB).
